What llms.txt does
An llms.txt file is a short Markdown map of a site's useful pages. It helps compatible agents find concise content. It is not a ranking signal or a promise of AI citations. Read the proposed format at llmstxt.org.
About GEOToolIndexBot
GEOToolIndexBot runs only when a person requests a check. The crawler honours robots.txt, uses at most four concurrent requests and stops when a site returns 429 or 503. To block it, add User-agent: GEOToolIndexBot and Disallow: / to robots.txt.
Honest limits
The check cannot see firewall or bot-protection rules that return different results to vendor crawlers. The crawl stops at 150 pages. Yoast, AIOSEO and Wix can already create llms.txt files, so users of those products may only need the crawler check.
