Best Perplexity rank tracking tools
Ranked October 2026
Ranked October 2026, data checked Oct 19, 2026: the cheapest plan that can track Perplexity is BrandAxis Lite at $19 a month, and the lowest cost per tracked prompt is LLMrefs at $0.16 ($79 for 500 prompts, run weekly). Of the 45 tools in GEO Tool Index, 37 offer Perplexity on some plan or as an add-on, and 18 put it on their cheapest paid plan with a dollar price and a prompt count. Across those 18 plans the median is $1.92 per tracked prompt a month.
A logo strip is weak evidence. Several vendors show Perplexity on the homepage and then hold it back to a higher tier, sell it as an extra model, or query only Sonar, its API model. We checked each vendor's own pricing page for the plan that is actually sold, and this page separates the plans that include Perplexity from the ones that don't.
Key answers

Ranked: Perplexity on the entry plan
Order: monthly list price divided by the prompt allowance. Equal costs go to the plan with more frequent runs, then to the one with more other engines on the same plan. "Runs" is how often the vendor says each prompt is checked; "not stated" means the pricing page doesn't say.
| # | Tool | Plan | Price | Prompts | Runs | Other engines on the plan | Trial | Why it ranks here |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | LLMrefs | All in One | $79/mo | 500 | weekly | all engines it supports | 7 days, no card | The 500-prompt allowance is the largest here, so $79 works out to $0.16 a prompt, with weekly reports and a "limited time" price. |
| 2 | SE Visible | Basic | $99/mo ($79 annual) | 200 | daily | ChatGPT, Gemini, AI Mode, AI Overviews | 10 days | Lowest per-prompt cost among daily plans at $0.49; Claude is listed as "will be added soon". |
| 3 | Peekaboo | Slider minimum | $30/mo | 40 | every 2 days | 2 more of your choice | free report, no card | The $30 minimum buys 40 prompts checked every second day on 3 models you pick. |
| 4 | BrandAxis | Lite | $19/mo | 20 | daily | 2 more of your choice | free tier (ChatGPT only) | The lowest sticker price on the list, $0.95 a prompt, if Perplexity is one of your 3 picks. |
| 5 | Rankability | Starter | $97/mo | 100 | daily | 10 (all 11 platforms) | 7 days, card required | 100 AI queries a day, and the vendor says every paid plan covers the same 11 platforms; Starter also bundles 20 content projects a month and tracked Google keywords. |
| 6 | LLM Pulse | Starter, weekly | $58/mo | 50 | weekly | ChatGPT, Gemini, AI Mode, AI Overviews | 14 days | $58 is the page's approximate dollar figure for €49 with weekly tracking; daily tracking on Starter is $94. |
| 7 | Searchable | Pro | $125/mo | 100 per model | not stated | ChatGPT, AI Overviews | 14 days | 100 prompts per model across three included engines; Copilot, Gemini, AI Mode, Claude and others are paid add-ons. |
| 8 | Promptmonitor | Starter | $39/mo | 25 | twice a week | ChatGPT, Gemini | 7 days | The plan card says semi-weekly runs, while the same page says every plan tracks daily and quotes 2,250 AI answers a month; we rank on the plan card. |
| 9 | Promptwatch | Essential | $95/mo | 50 | daily | "Track all models" | 7 days | 50 daily prompts with 6,000 responses a month, which is enough for 4 models at that volume. |
| 10 | Otterly.AI | Lite | $29/mo | 15 | daily | ChatGPT, AI Overviews, Copilot | yes, length not stated | The cheapest plan where Perplexity comes included rather than chosen; on Lite, AI Mode and Gemini add $9 a month each and Claude $29. |
| 11 | GEO Toolbox | Starter | $99/mo | 50 per brand | weekly | ChatGPT, AI Overviews | 7 days, card required | Weekly scans on 3 engines put $99 at $1.98 a prompt. |
| 12 | Trakkr | Growth | $100/mo | 50 | daily | 7 (all 8 models) | 14 days | Ties at $2.00 and wins the tie on daily runs; all 8 models are on the plan. |
| 13 | Scrunch | Core | $250/mo | 125 | not stated | ChatGPT, AI Overviews, Copilot | 7 days, no card | Ties at $2.00; it beats HubSpot on the second tiebreak with 4 engines to 3, and Core comes with 1 brand workspace, 5 user licenses and 5,000 responses a month. |
| 14 | HubSpot AEO | AEO (beta) | $50/mo ($45 annual) | 25 | not stated | ChatGPT, Gemini | yes | Ties at $2.00 with no stated run frequency and 3 engines; HubSpot labels the product beta. |
| 15 | CueScout | Starter | $49/mo | 20 | daily | ChatGPT, AI Overviews | 7 days | 20 daily prompts on one seat, usable for one brand or split as 10 each across two; Claude and Grok are $19 extra each. |
| 16 | Wrenda | Starter | $149/mo | 50 | weekly | 5 (all six models) | 14 days, no card | Six models on the entry plan, but 50 weekly prompts cost $2.98 each. |
| 17 | Goodie AI | Core | $354/mo ($295 annual) | 110 | not stated | ChatGPT, AI Overviews, AI Mode, Copilot | 7 days | Five engines on the plan; at the monthly rate each prompt costs $3.22, and annual billing is sold as "2 months free". |
| 18 | Geoptie | Starter | $49/mo ($41 annual) | 15 | daily | 3 more of your choice | not stated | A 15-prompt allowance lifts $49 to $3.27 a prompt, the highest here, though runs are daily on 4 of 7 engines. |
Eight of the 18 run prompts daily. Prices are the monthly-billed rate; the annual rate appears in brackets where the vendor shows one.
Counting checks instead of prompts reorders the list. Prompts multiplied by runs, over a 30-day month, is how many times a plan asks Perplexity something: 6,000 checks for SE Visible, 3,000 for Rankability, about 2,143 for LLMrefs, 1,500 each for Promptwatch and Trakkr, 600 for Peekaboo, BrandAxis and CueScout, 450 for Otterly and Geoptie, and about 214 for Promptmonitor, LLM Pulse, GEO Toolbox and Wrenda. Per dollar, SE Visible leads at roughly 61 checks, ahead of BrandAxis (32), Rankability (31) and LLMrefs (27); weekly plans fall to the bottom, with Wrenda at 1.4. Searchable, Scrunch, HubSpot AEO and Goodie can't be counted this way because they don't state a frequency. The counts are per engine; on a pick-your-models plan they apply to each engine you chose.
Requiring Perplexity raises the floor. The median entry price across the 38 tools with a dollar price is $74 a month, while the 18 ranked plans have a median of $87. Six of the ten lowest entry prices in the index drop out: AEO Vision's is ChatGPT-only, Rankscale, Trackerly and Wellows meter credits or answers, Waikay queries the Sonar API, and ZipTie prices through a calculator.
Perplexity only on higher or add-on plans
These tools track Perplexity somewhere, but not on the cheapest plan as sold, so they are listed without a rank.
- Peec AI: the self-serve model list (ChatGPT, AI Mode, AI Overviews, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini, Naver AI) leaves Perplexity out. It is an "Additional Models" add-on: $35 a month on Starter ($30 billed annually), $85 on Pro and $165 on Advanced. Starter with Perplexity added comes to $130 a month for 50 prompts.
- Knowatoa: Starter at $59 covers ChatGPT, AI Overviews and AI Mode. Growth at $199 lists all 7 services.
- Evertune: Starter at $60 a month, billed annually, lists five models without Perplexity. Perplexity is "available on Pro and Enterprise plans"; Pro is $800 a month, billed annually.
- Gauge: Growth at $599 covers ChatGPT, AI Mode and Copilot. Perplexity is an Enterprise platform, and that price is not published.
- Profound: the free 7-day trial runs ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Overviews. Perplexity comes with agency client workspaces ($399 a month each, on an Agency Growth base whose price is not published) and with Enterprise, which is quote-only.
- AEO Vision: Lite at $9 is ChatGPT-only. Solo at $99 adds 70 daily prompts on 5 AI platforms, but the plan table doesn't name the five.
- Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit: the pricing page reports "mentions" from Perplexity. Semrush's help article on Prompt Tracking lists ChatGPT Search, Google AI Mode and Gemini as the engines a tracked prompt can run on, so the 25 prompts in the $99 plan don't run on Perplexity.
- Waikay: lists "Sonar", which is Perplexity's API model. API answers can differ from what people see in the Perplexity app.
- SearchInsight: the site names Perplexity, but its $59 Starter covers "3 AI engines" without saying which.
- ZipTie: "Price follows how many engines you run, never which ones", and Perplexity is one option. The trial uses ChatGPT, AI Overviews and Copilot.
Credit-priced tools that name Perplexity
A credit or answer buys a different amount of checking on each engine, so these can't be put on a per-prompt line without guessing. Each vendor's own rule is quoted, unranked:
- AthenaHQ: free plan with 300 credits ($25 of credit), Perplexity named; Starter is $295 a month for 3,600 credits.
- Rankscale: Essentials from $17 a month, yearly only. Pro at $99 is 1,200 credits, "up to 4,800 answers".
- Trackerly: $27 a month for 4,500 credits; each model costs 1 to 5 credits per run, "including ChatGPT, Google, and Perplexity".
- Wellows: sold as AI answers; $29 is "about 60 answers a day, every day".
- Rankshift: €69 a month on the annual default, 9,500 credits, with a credit calculator on the page.
- Qwairy: $89 a month ($74 billed annually), metered in credits.
- Arvow: $69 plan with 3,000 credits a month, shared with its content tools.
Euro-priced tools
Nightwatch is €79 a month (€948 billed yearly) for 50 AI prompts tracked daily, Perplexity included, which is €1.58 a prompt. Citeme is €59 a month excluding VAT (a launch offer shows €29.50) for 20 prompts on 10 models, after a 7-day trial for €1. Both stay out of the dollar ranking and its median.
How we checked Perplexity coverage
Each pricing page was opened in a headless Chrome browser on Oct 19, 2026, between 10:45 and 10:54 PM (MST). On every page we read three places: the plan cards, the feature-comparison grid and the pricing FAQ. Where a page offered Monthly and Annual toggles, we clicked Monthly and re-read the price; where FAQ answers were folded shut, we opened them.
What counted as coverage:
- Perplexity printed in the engine list of the cheapest paid plan (Otterly, CueScout, SE Visible and most others).
- A pick-your-models plan whose menu includes Perplexity (BrandAxis, Peekaboo, Geoptie).
- A vendor FAQ that answers the question for that plan. LLM Pulse writes "Yes, Starter plan includes Perplexity"; Rankability says all three paid plans have the same platform coverage; Promptmonitor says "Starter covers ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity".
What did not count:
- Logos on a homepage, or Perplexity named only in a site-wide list of supported engines.
- A count without names, such as AEO Vision's "5 AI platforms" or SearchInsight's "3 AI engines".
- Sonar, Perplexity's developer API, which Waikay queries instead of the consumer app.
- A pricing page contradicted by the vendor's own help documentation. Semrush's knowledge base lists the engines a tracked prompt can run on, and Perplexity isn't one of them.
When a plan card and an FAQ disagreed, we used the card and said so in the row. Roundups published by other sites served only as tips about what to recheck: one such post prompted the look at Peec AI's add-on tab, but the figures above come from Peec's own page.
How to choose a Perplexity tracker
Start with volume. Multiply prompts by runs to see how many Perplexity answers you get: 50 prompts run daily is 1,500 checks a month per engine, while 50 run weekly is about 214. A weekly plan with a big allowance, like LLMrefs, suits broad topic coverage; a daily plan suits launches and news-driven categories where answers move from one day to the next.
Then decide whether Perplexity has to sit on the same plan as ChatGPT and Google's AI answers. Pick-your-model plans (BrandAxis, Peekaboo, Geoptie) make you trade one engine for another, and add-on pricing (Peec AI, Otterly's extra engines) raises the real monthly bill.
If Claude must sit on the same plan as Perplexity, four ranked plans include it: Rankability, LLMrefs, Trakkr and Promptwatch. CueScout ($19) and Otterly ($29 on Lite) sell it as an add-on, Peekaboo charges 20¢ more per check for Claude API answers, and SE Visible says Claude is coming.
A worked case: for 40 prompts, Peekaboo's $30 minimum already covers them every second day, BrandAxis Lite tops out at 20 and Otterly's Lite at 15, which pushes Otterly buyers up to Standard at $189.
Last, read the billing line. Several prices above drop on annual terms, and LLMrefs marks its price as temporary. If you also report to clients, compare plans on seats and white-label as well: see best tools for agencies.

What does "rank" mean in Perplexity?

How we ranked and where the data comes from
Rule: a tool is ranked only if its own pricing page shows Perplexity on its cheapest paid plan, either included or as one of the engines you choose, and the plan has a dollar price and a prompt count. Rank is the monthly price divided by prompts, the same measure as cost per prompt, with ties broken by run frequency and then by the number of other engines on the plan. Affiliate status, Featured listings and sponsorship play no part. All prices were read on the vendors' pages on Oct 19, 2026 (MST); see the methodology for how we collect them.
